Be Careful with my Heart Harana Day

Admit it, you have been smiling all the time while watching this episode, kilig much? :) It sounds crazy but I love it, yay. BCWMH is not your typical iyakan, dramahan, sapakan, apakan, sampalan teleseryse. It's a Kiligserye wherein everybody can relate. What I love most is that they share the Filipino culture, self determination, family values and the day-to-day basis of a typical Filipino household.

I also noticed that the roles played by each character are genuine. They act so naturally that it will not appear as something "pinilit" compared to other artists. It seems that they are enjoying each other's company a lot. It's a good feel show with lots of kilig moments. I really admire the chemistry of Mr. Richard Yap and Ms. Jodi Sta. Maria. How I wish they aired this during Primetime so that we will sleep with GOOD VIBES. Kapit Bisig, Pilipinas!

Here's the SIR CHIEF'S NATIONAL HARANA DAY episode, enjoy!

90s Songs | A Music Playlist Throwback

When it comes to the choice of music, I really couldn't hide my age. Ugh, my preferred songs reflect the generation I belong. Hahaha! Anyway, no sense in hiding as long as my readers are aware that I am twenty-something! *time flies so faaast*

Here goes:

How I wish I can aboard a time machine and go back to my favorite period, the 90s to early 20th century, where almost all the songs are music to my ears. *eyes on you! I know you can relate* Boohoo! Hihi. Let me give you a list of my top 20 throwback songs from boybands to female solo artists. To all the boyband fanatics who are being criticized by the society as being baduy, count me in, I am one of you guys! I'm sure that those critics love us, they are just too shy to admit. I think love songs will cover 70% of my list! PREPARE. Hehe.

Start 3, 2 and 1.

No. 20 - Ulan by Rivermaya

I take my pride being a full blooded Pinay! I heart OPM music :) Bamboo originally sang this when he was still with Rivermaya. Everybody loves him and the song of course! Simple pero rock!

No. 19 - I Knew I Love You by Savage Garden

This song was played repeatedly in teenage shows during the 90s so it really made some space in my heart. Click, TGIF, Growing Up and Gimik to name a few. Anybody can relate? Hihi. My list of 90s Songs is such a tearjerker. Haha!

No. 18 - So Young by The Corrs

A sibling band! I love them. This song reminds me of my youth. Well, happy youthful memories lives on!

No. 17 - I'll be by Edwin Mc Cain

Cut that crap off! Until now, this song is still a crowd favorite. I think this was the OST of the movie City of Angels. This song makes girls gaga whenever it is being played in radio stations before and now, it's a favorite videoke song by men. Why? Haha! Well... I don't know.

No. 16 - Cool With You by Jennifer Love Hewitt

For those who care, this is our barkada theme song :) The lyrics is perfect for those who are going through the moving on stage. Enough and cry it out loud. That's normal.

No. 15 - Always by Imajin

I like her but I love you, who can forget that lyrics? I contest, no one. Para sa mga two timer. Haha. Eyes on you again *kidding*

No. 14 - 6,8,12 by Brian Mc Knight

Again, another heartbreak song. Need I say more?

No. 13 - Fantasy by Mariah Carey

She's a bomb! I adore her when I was still in secondary school. I also love her other songs like Honey, Always be my baby and I still believe. Such a fan!

No. 12 - Dreaming of You by Selena

This latina is a total performer. During my emote days way back then, I used to sing this. Haha!

No. 12.1 goes to Until the Time is Through by Five

No. 11 - 2 Become 1 by Spice Girls

Well, they are the diamonds of the 90s! Who can forget Wannabe, Viva Forever and Mama? Geeez! They are the "peg" of the fashion world, haha! Who have ever thought that Melanie C's jogging pants can be a worldwide fashion trend and Posh spice will marry England's Beckham?

No. 10 - Angel of Mine by Monica

I love her and I super adore that song. I can sleep away by just listening to this song. Inspiring, so who's your angel? Haha!

No. 9 - I've Been Waiting for You by Guys Next Door

Search for this on YouTube so you'll understand what I mean. After, you will realize you loved it long time ago, 90s Songs fever eh? Nostalgia! They look fine, I guess! Haha :)

No. 8 - Each Time by East 17

Is it weird of me to like this song? Haha! I hope not because I love this song to bits!! Very 2001 or probably earlier :))

No. 7 - I Don't Wanna Wait by Paula Vole

Who's an avid fan of the Dawson's creek here? You should know this song! Such a feel good song. May laman ang lyrics!

No. 6 - Only Love by Toni Braxton

Music to my ears. Walang masabi basta gusto ko to. Hihi. 90s Songs are the best!

No. 5 - Stick Around by Azure

For those in love, here's for you!

By the way, insert at no. 5.1 - All I want by Inoj :) This hippie girl makes me sing and dance away! Yay.

No. 4 - Finally Found by Honeyz

Have you found that one? Yikes! They also sang the End of the Line but that's a sad song though. Yay.

*insert Sometimes by Britney Spears as no. 4.1 and 4.2 for Mandy Moore's Only Hope.* hihi. I love them both!

No. 3 - Forever by Damage

Perfect to be a wedding song. This will drive your guests crazy (and crying) as you walk down the aisle. I superrr heart this song. You do too, right? Ahh! 90s Songs throwback!

No. 2 - Invisible Man by 98 degrees

Can I insert all their songs? Okay, so this is my all time favorite. **i wish you look at me that way...** I Do, Hardest Thing and I will Still Love You are the best too.

No. 1 - When you Say Nothing at All by Ronan Keating

I say nothing else, it makes my heart melt a thousand folds :)))

So there you go, my top 20 song list of my generation! What's yours?~ Good day!

Skin Care | Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask

Who doesn't know Innisfree? Well, you miss 30% of your skin care regimen, haha! :)

Hello everyone! I'm writing this post on a Sunday, right after I had the Clay Mask applied last night :) Who cares anyway when did I use it? Haha! Let's blog away!!

If you have large pores then this product is for you. I bought this nearly two months ago from ebay since there's no Innisfree outlet here in the Philippines yet but only got the time to try the Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask last night although I use the cleansing foam every other day.

That pretty korean girl is Yoona of SNSD/Girl's Generation ^__^ Nice skin, right?

So here goes my Review and some directions to help!

Skin Type:
Oily Skin

Skin Color:
Morena (a full-blooded Filipina here)

Directions:

1. Wash your face using your cleanser of choice and with WARM WATER. If you opt to use the Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam, it would be a great idea as well. Using warm water will open up the pores :)
Hint: Buy Etude House's Wonder Pore Brush and use it together with the foam

2. Pat dry and rest your skin for about 2 to 3 minutes. While resting, prepare your Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask.

Note: Don't be shocked for it's mud color and off smell.

3.  On your clean skin, gently massage the clay mask evenly. Don't include the lips, eyes, eyebrows and hairline. Just focus on the T-zone or the areas with much attention needed.

4. Rest it on your face for about 10 to 15 minutes or until the clay mask has completely dried up. Gently remove the mask with a warm towel then once the mask has been cleared, wash it again, WARM WATER.

5. Finally, apply your Facial Moisturizer (I use Celeteque for Oily Skin) then your done. You may have a GOOD NIGHT SLEEP :)

6. Upon waking up, wash with warm water. Good enough to start your day!

Results:

I almost forgot about this! The fact that I know the steps very well is a testament that I really love Innisfree. It's gentle on skin and doesn't have any harsh effects on my skin. I even had a pimple last night prior to using this and when I woke up, that little pimple no longer set on my nose! :)

4.8 stars (out of 5) for the  Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask and Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Cleansing Foam.

It feels good to wake up having clear and radiant skin!

How about you, what's your beauty secret? :)

Skin Care | Etude House Wonder Pore Freshner

Being a kdrama fan, I also opted to use products from Korea. Here's my first ever Skin Care review to publish. Haha.

While strolling at the mall, the pretty interiors of the newly opened Etude House got my attention. I went inside the shop and immediately noticed the big bottled toner in baby blue endorsed by 2ne1's Sandara Park, labeled as Wonder Pore Freshner. I asked their sales consultant (the madam in pink apron para class at sosyal ang effect, hehe) if what condition of the skin does this freshner works best and she answered, "toner for those with oily skin." **DAAANG!!** From there, I knew I needed it and so, I bought it. I honestly forgot the price since this happened barely 2 to 3 months ago, I guess. Anyway, here's my skin care forecast. Read on... :)

Review:

The container is big, I mean huge. I know it's worth it for it's price although I forgot the actual cost. But being the kuripot me, I don't spend too much so hindi siya pain in the pocket. I started using it for two months already and only 1/8 of the bottle was consumed. Sulit diba? *wink*

Segway... I'm easily attracted with pretty labels and neat packaging so they got me there!

Next, great things may come in big packages, for the Wonder Pore Freshner, that's true. I use it everyday, walang mintis and I can prove that Etude House kept their promise on this product. No more oily skin for me. Hooray! ^^ No bias, I'm so happy I got this. It kept my skin hydrated without being oily. I believe it has a moisturizing effect as well. And YESSS, it makes your pores smaller. Haha!

Directions:
Apply with a cotton ball after washing your face in the morning and before going to bed. When you feel that your face is clean already, you may apply your daily rituals like moisturizers, creams, packs/masks and so on.

True to its name, it's really a WONDER FRESHNER. No day is complete without this. They also have other Wonder Pore products in store like mask, foam brush and other beauty regimens.

Next review: Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Foam

Share your thoughts! :)

Maggi Magic Meals | Bicol Express

We saw the ad of the Maggi Magic Meals on tv and we were (very) excited to try it.

We don't have the luxury of time to prepare meals every day since we are always in a rush and that made us love/hate fastfood meals so we have decided to try the MMM since you can save time! You will be able to cook rice while your ulam cooks! Wow!

The Maggi Magic Meals comes in an aluminum pack with two compartments. One for the plastic and another one for the seasoning. Bright idea, indeed! We got the Bicol Express since it's the one in the ad. The instructions came handy and was explained well. No "I don't understand moments."

I need not to explain the step by step guide since everything is written already and to keep the excitement of the experience.

After 45 minutes... Tahdah!!!! Honestly, I didn't expect it would taste as good as this.

For a price of 35 pesos and serves 2 to 3 hungry people, it's supeeeer affordable. But most importantly, it saves time and the taste is really goooood! Perfect for people on the go!

*clap* *clap* for the creators of Maggi Magic Sarap. Very good concept for the Filipino family who are nagtitipid :)

On Books | Easy by Tammara Webber

EASY by Tammara Webber

http://sphotos-e.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/60617_439604379430871_1124126269_n.jpg

It was my latest read next to Life of Pi, both books are awesome but EASY made a special place in my heart. I even stopped reading The Fault in Our Stars to give way for this!!! Why? Simple, you will fall head over heels with the character of Jacqueline and Lucas. I found myself smiling, laughing and some hurting deep inside *haha! really?!*.

Lucas was a stranger, a stalker and eventually became the confidant of Jacqueline. Jacqueline is your not-so-typical college girl who fell in love, broke her heart and met her knight in shining armor during the darkest moment of her life. Both characters are genuine to their feelings and really have the passion for what they love doing. Both shared a common denominator, they were trapped in the so-called PAST. Will they move on or will they continue living a life of regrets, secrets and shame?

Meet them in this wonderful "emo" fairy tale. I highly recommend this book and for sure, putting it down will be some of the hardest decisions to make. Hahaha! *kidding* So, I give 4.5 stars for the romantic novel, Easy!

I hope you will enjoy reading it as much as I did. Thank you to Ms. Marivic for giving me this ebook as a freebie! What a great freebie. I love it!! Check out her listings: ebay account. Get dizzy and ready your ebook readers.

“Choosing to be with you, isn't a difficult decision, Jacqueline...It's easy. Incredibly easy.” - Tammara Webber ****AHHHH. MELTED****

Next read: Back to Augustus of the Fault in Our Stars. Hehe! :)

By the way, just leave your email address below for a free ebook copy of Easy :)

Desserts | My Chocohazelnut Crepe

Let me share you my favorite dessert/s secret. Again, I'm not a culinary expert or a baker per se. I'm just an ordinary twenty something year old who loves eating and discovering my capabilities inside the kitchen.

No doubt, crepe is a wonderland. It makes my tastebuds excited. How did I do it? Here's how:

Machineries: A trusted blender, non-stick pan and your every reliable plate. Not much, right?

Ingredients for the crepe:
1/2 cup water
3/4 cup milk
1 cup flour
Pinch of salt
2 medium sized eggs
2 tbsp. melted butter

Crepe Procedure:
Mix them all up in your trusted blender. That's all. Simple? Very!

After mixing, keep the mixture in a sealed container and store in your fridge. The shortest time for storage would be an hour and maximum time would be 48 hours. After the max period, don't use it anymore. Storing it in your fridge lessebs the bubbles! :)

After an hour or probably overnight... (Catch some zzz's to perform better in the kitchen, don't let excitement conquer you! Haha)

Prepare the filling! My favorite part. I'm going to share the all time favorite, chocohazelnut filling with banana and almonds topped with whipped cream! :)

Chocohazelnut Crepe:

Melted Nutella Chocohazelnut (microwave for 20 seconds)
Ripe Banana
Almonds (optional)

Whipped cream: (optional)
All purpose cream
Powdered sugar
Vanilla extract

Prepare your crepe mixture, medium hot non-stick pan and melter butter. 30 seconds for one side and flip it! Then, that's it!! Easy?

Look, I did this, it may not be perfectly gorgeous but the taste, wow! Haha.

Enjoy!

Breakfast Experiment: Egg on Toast

Ok. First and foremost, I'm not a cook or a baker. I just love to try new things and explore my teeny/weeny/trying/hard/creative mind. Let me get straight to the whole process and how I turned an egg and toast into a heavenly breakfast meal. (Bias with the taste, I made it eh!) haha.

Ingredients:

1 medium sized egg
Cinnamon powder (need not to be mc cormick)
Sliced bread (Gardenia, of course)
Chicken Tocino (Pampanga's Best)
Salt

Procedure:

1. Crack the egg. Separate the egg yolk from the white.
2. Don't forget to fry the egg yolk first (not too long)!! :) Place the yolk in the middle of the bread.
3. Sprinkle some cinnamon all over while frying. A pinch would do. Add a little salt to taste.
4. Toast the bread in a toaster for about 2-3 minutes until the bread becomes darker.
5. While toasting the bread, cook the packed tocino in a medium heat pan. You can fry it in water or in a cooking oil. Whichever is great!
6. Plating time! Do your thing :)

This is my finish product, what do you think? :) ENJOY!
*revised some*

Gerry's Grill Davao (The Peak)

Hungry and we deserve a treat.

We had lunch at Gerry's Grill at the Peak, Gaisano Mall Davao. It was our first time to dine in that branch since we always go to Abreeza. So hmm, the location is accessible and attractive from afar. It looks cozier and more comfortable since the tables are arranged symmetrically. They have outside seating and an airconditioned area. We stayed in the airconditioned room since it's too hot outside.

Ok. Let's go down to their menu (the mini book of great grilled food). I love Gerry's Grill and their staff's courtesy. They are always attentive to their guests but not today, to be discussed later.

We ordered our usual favorites: Pork Sisig with Egg, Sizzling Garlic Mushroom Chicken and Grilled Tuna Belly. As always, they were great tummy fillers. Burppp. I had their garlic rice for my dose of carbo and green mango shake for my thirsty throat. We love it!

Note: Their sisig is part of the top ten best sisig places! :)

Back to our dining experience, apart from our very good meal, one staff served the hot plate in a rush, then the oil from the plate came off and accidentally land on my bf's face. I think it should be their protocol to say, excuse me, mainit po, excuse me sir/maam, but there was no precaution at all. And worst, no apology was given. We understand that accidents do happen but a simple apology would do :)

Nonetheless, we love the food and for sure, we will go back.

Here are the pictures, taken from my phone. Photos are not convincing but I tell you, taste it to experience :) enjoy!

Rooftop Prince OST - Happy Ending by Jay Park

First YouTube video goes to Rooftop Prince. Jay Park's Happy Ending is such a feel-good song. Even though there's no Hangul translation, I can feel the happiness just by listening to its melody.

Happy listening! :)

K-drama: The Rooftop Prince Review

OKAY. For a Kdrama Fan, I am too late for this review because I just watched it the other day. Uh-oh.

Rooftop Prince or also known as The Attic Prince is a time travel drama with lots of love in it. Unlike other bloggers, they gave a mediocre rating for this show, but me, NO. This drama deserves more, probably 4.5 stars. Close to perfect? Definitely. It's even part of my all time favorite kdramas :)

Overall Review
4.5 STARS
  (as five being the highest)

The plot is simple and very light to watch, no grudges or whatsoever although there are villains in the story (not new to a Korean flick) but they are not much to hate compared with other dramas' villains that would make your head ache.

Characters

Main Cast

Micky Yoochun (Park Yoochun) as Lee Gak / Yong Tae Yong
Han Ji Min as Park Ha / Bu Yong
Lee Tae Sung as Yong Tae Moo
Jung Yoo Mi as Hong Se Na / Hwa Yong

Others

Lee Min Ho as Song Man Bo (Lee Gak's retainer - Crown Prince's tutor)
Choi Woo Shik as Do Chi San (Lee Gak's retainer - palace eunuch)
Jung Suk Won as Woo Yong Sul (Lee Gak's retainer - Crown Prince's personal bodyguard)
Ban Hyo Jung as President Yeo (Yong Tae Yong's grandmother)

The Beginning

It all began during the Joseon Era, a Korean dynasty dated 300 years back from the modern time when the Crown Prince is all set to find the "love of her life". Crown Prince Lee Gak (the super in love) is then married to the Crown Princess Hwa Yong. Hwa Yong has a sister named Bu Yong who became their assistant in the palace. Bu Yong was supposed to marry the crown prince but her sister, Hwa Yong accidentally/intentionally burnt her face with an iron.

They lived a happy marriage until the Crown Princess was murdered mysteriously. Prince Lee Gak got depressed that he really wanted to solve the murder case of his princess. He even searched for the best team to undercover the case, they were Song Man Bo, Do Chi San and Woo Yong Sul (who would complete the Joseon's version of F4 or should I say Power Rangers). They are definitely the cutest line-up for the search of clues and solving the mysterious death of the princess. From there, the story of the Rooftop Prince started.... *spoilers ahead (but just a little)*

While they were doing the investigation, they found a clue that the answer is somewhere hidden in the middle of the forest. They went there together with prince Lee Gak but to their surprise, a group of bad people started attacking them. They rushed their horses to get rid of the arrows that were being thrown to them only to find out that it was a dead end... Fast forward to the 21th century... *()$&@@".,?! eeeck* next thing they knew, they were in Park Ha's (Bu Yong's reincarnation) rooftop.

Who wouldn't be surprised to see ancient people in your rooftop? Haha! Well, they are pretty good looking but still, it's not a good surprise! I love how the plot made some sense :))

The Review

1. The story of the Rooftop Prince is not common. It is indeed full of surprises, u-turns and even great revelations. Although the cast are multiplied in each episode, all of them were relevant in every scene. Hmm, except for Mimi and the other housemate of Park Ha, which I don't know what happened to them. But generally, it caught the viewers' attention. Also, the connection (story) that took place in Joeson and the 21st century was given justice. The director came up with a good ending. For that, I will give it 4 stars of 5 being the highest.

2. The happy scenes are just irresistible. From the bodyguards to the love team, it was full of passion, love and excitement except for the villains of course. Tae Yong and Park Ha are just two lovely couples. They give me reasons not to put down my iPad every time they are on que. I just fell in love with the thought that FATE would bring you to the person who's really meant for you even it would take a hundred years or forever perhaps. Aww! Although they aren't even part of my favorite KDrama couples, they definitely pulled it off. Now, they are on my list! I love them so I'll given them 4.5 stars.

3. The office set-up and family connection. Hmm, a bit okay. Some scenes were a bit off and I just can't connect it with the whole plot. It took so much time in the drama and it kinda bores me at some point. 3 stars for the effort.

4. The villains were kinda "trying hard" to play the witch part. At some point, I hated Se Na and Tae Moo but most of the time, they irritates me. They do things repeatedly. Hello, writer! :) 3 stars again.

5. Lastly, the OSTs Hurt and Happy Ending were perfect!

Nonetheless, I enjoyed watching it and I hope you would too if you haven't seen it yet. I can guarantee that after watching the whole series, you would feel like watching it all over again (like I did).

Disclaimer: I don't own the photos, just got it from the real owners via their respective websites. Thank you.

Have you watched it already? Tell me what you think!

Other recommended k-dramas: Full House, You're Beautiful, Boys over Flowers, To the Beautiful You, Coffee Prince, Princess Hours/Goong, City Hunter, Personal Taste/Perfect Match.. to be continued *still recalling*.
